LED screens can be divided into indoor and outdoor rental LED display screens according to its application environment. Indoor use LED screens only need to do some basic moisture proof measures; but outdoor rental LED display screens need strict moisture proof request as well as waterproof measures. If the waterproof measure is not good, the LED screens may short circuit or even cause damages. So how should we do the waterproof and moisture proof measures?

1.Make sure the IP protection level can meet our demand;

The outdoor rental LED display screens must have strong waterproof ability with at least IP65 level. Make sure water and other wet elements cannot enter the LED screen, otherwise there would be a damage.

2.Clean up the dust regularly;

The dust on the screen’s surface may influence the outdoor rental LED display screen’s heat dissipation ability. Clean up the dust regularly to improve the screen’s heat dissipation ability and avoid moisture adhering on screen’s surface and damage the screens. Most LED screen rental service provider will advice the users to do this, but few users can do it regularly.

3.Anti-corrosion measures on the PCB and electrical wires;

During the applications, the PCB and electric wires may corroded by moisture and other chemical elements. Therefore, the anti-corrosion measures are needed during the production. It is better to paint some anti-corrosion material on the surface of the PCB, and use better quality electric wires and components. In addition, the soldering points may also be corroded by moisture. The outdoor screen rental service provider should also pay attention to it.

4.Use it regularly;

When the outdoor rental LED display screens are working, they will generate heat. These heat can help to evaporate some moisture on the surface or inside the screens. This can help to avoid the screens from short circuit. If the screens do not work for a long time, make sure the screens can be turn on for at least two hours every month.
