Packing is one of the most important process to the LED screen production, especially for outdoor rental LED display screens. Nowadays, there are two kinds of packing method that are mostly used by LED screen rental service providers.

1.DIP packing;

DIP refers to dual inline-pin package, it is the first LED screen packing way. The LEDs are inserted into PCB of the LED screen modules. Then we will use wave soldering ways to make semi-outdoor and outdoor rental LED display screens. In the beginning, the screen factory will use three color LEDs inserted into one RGB pixel. With the technology improvement, most LED chips factory can packing red, green and blue color chips in one LEDs now. It help to reduce a lot of production cost and improved the production efficiency.

However, this kind of LED screens can only by made with no less than 6 mm pixel pitch. It cannot make small pixel LED screens. In addition, its view angle is only 100-110 degree. So it can only be applied as large pixel outdoor rental LED display screens. Actually, more and more LED screen rental service providers are not using this kind of packing method now.

2.SMD packing;

SMD refers to Surface Mounted Devices, it is a kind of SMT (Surface Mount Technology). This is the most advanced packing technology in LED screen industry nowadays.

Three-in-one is one SMD technology that is mostly used packing method for outdoor rental LED display screens. By using this method, the LED screen’s view angle is higher than DIP method made ones. In addition, the color evenness is also excellent. The surface flatness of LED screens by this method is also excellent. Nowadays, most outdoor screen rental service providers are using this packing method to produce their screens because of this method’s high technology, lower and lower cost, and better product performance.
