Main Certifications of Rental LED Display Screens

For most LED screen rental and sale companies and users, the certification are important. Different countries and areas need different certifications. For example, in European area, all rental LED display screens will need CE certification; in US, they need UL and FCC certification. Also, some area need more certifications, like Germany needs CE and GS certification(if the customer need. Normally, CE, FCC and UL certification are mostly needed for the sale and rental LED screens. The followings are some basic introductions of the certifications.

1. UL certification for rental LED display screens.

UL certification is a certification approved by US Underwriter Laboratories, Inc. It is the most authoritative approval authority in US. All the electrical products including rental LED display screens will need this certification if they entering into US market.

2. CE certification for rental LED screens.

CE certification means the LED screen can meet the prescribed requirements of Essential Requirements in Europe, and also used to verify that the product have passed the conformity assessment procedures and the products are allowed to entering into European market. Most LED screen rental and sale companies will approve CE certification for their rental LED display screens.

3. GS certification for rental LED display screens.

GS refers to Germany “Geprufte Sicherheit” or “Germany Safety”. GS certification based on GPGS(Gerate- und Produktsicherheitsgesetz，German Equipment and Product Safety Act) standard, approve the product according to EN of EU or DIN of German.

4. RoHS certification for rental LED screens.

RoHS is a mandatory standard made by EU, full name is Restriction of Hazardous Substances). Mainly used to eliminate the lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and poly brominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) in the electrical products. It also specifies that the lead content in the rental LED display screens must not exceed 0.1%.

5. FCC certification

It is a certification approved by US Federal Communications Commission, mainly testify that electro magnetic compatibility of these electric products who’s operating frequency is higher that 9Hz.

6. CUL certification.

Mainly used for Canada market. It approves that the rental LED display screens have been approved that it can meet the Canada safety standards. These standards are basically same as UL’s standards. If the LED screen rental and sale companies want their rental LED screens entering into Canada market, this certification is needed.
