1. View angle.

The view angle of LEDs will determine the view angle of the outdoor rental screens. Normally, the outdoor screens from other LED screen rental service providers are with 100-120 degree horizontal view angle and vertical view angle (some of the screen’s vertical view angle are event smaller). 2. Brightness.

The brightness of LEDs is important and determinate factors to the brightness of LED screens. The higher the brightness, the better to the LEDs working stability and energy saving. If the brightness of LEDs is good, then the screen’s brightness will also be high.

3. Failure rate.

A whole outdoor rental LED display screen is made up of thousands and thousands of LEDs (with red, green and blue color on each LED), if one color in a LED chip or one LED chip failed, the visual effects of the whole LED screen will be influenced. Normally, the LED screen rental service provider will control the LEDs failure rate less than three over ten thousand from the assembling process until 72 hours aging test process during the production.

4. Size.

The size of LED chip will influence the pixel pitch of outdoor rental LED display screens. Therefore different pixel pitch screens will use different size LEDs. For example, 5mm LED chips are mainly used for P16 or large pixel LED screens, 3mm LED chips mainly suitable for P10-P15 LED screens, 2525 and 3535 LEDs are mainly used for P6, P7, P8 LED screens.

5. Evenness.

LED screen is made up by many pixels with red, green and blue LEDs, the brightness, wavelength evenness will determines the whole LED screen’s brightness evenness, white balance (color balance) evenness and chrominance evenness. Different outdoor screen rental service providers will ask their material supplier to provide different LEDs with different brightness and wavelength. That’s one reason why different supplier’s screens are with different quality.

6. Attenuation characteristics.

After the outdoor rental LED display screens been used for a long time, their brightness may decrease and the color may not even. That’s because the LED’s brightness attenuated. The attenuation of LED’s brightness will decrease the screen’s brightness; if the attenuate rate of red, green and blue LEDs are not even, then the color of the whole LED screen will not even. High quality LEDs can control the attenuation rate. The attenuation characteristics of LEDs is related to the characteristics of its red, green and blue LED, the electric circuit, heat dissipation ability of the PCB and the application environment of the outdoor rental LED display screens will all influence it.

7. Lifespan.

Theoretically, LEDs have 10,000 hours lifespan, larger than other components of outdoor rental LED display screens. So if the other components are with good quality, the electrical circuit is reasonable, the PCB heat dissipation are well, the production technology is exquisite, the LEDs will be the longest lifespan components on the LED screens.

LEDs take 50%-70% of LED screens’ cost, so the quality of LEDs will largely determine the quality of the LED screens. Higher quality request is not only the future developing trend of LED screen industry, but also concerns to the future of all LED screen rental service providers.
